Mark wrote:Doing my sheet I had a thought. Galaxy exploration at this point is kind of almost a side thought. I've litterally got my oldest ships engaged in galexy exploration and they've got as much chance of discovering anything as a first line ship.
Is there someway we could enhance this aspect of the game? I mean, involving ship ranges, consumables, or even long range sensors? We could at least pick a direction to explore. Perhaps come up with some sort of mods to discovery as opposed to a 1 in a 100 shot.
Thoughts?
I agree that ships with better sensors should have a better chance of discovering something useful. Endurance should also be a factor.

I wasn't even aware we could Galaxy explore.
Finally something for my own vessels to do while the xeno warships handle their own business.

Exploring is always going to be a side issue. There is so much space to cover and only short range sensors can be used to find anything of value. Thats just part of the game mechanics since we started. If you want to cover more ground, design a fast and small and cheap ship to do the job for you.

Cause my ships would prove most effective against the Hur'q... if BIG would let us know if the plasma torps of doom can be used agaonst their practically stationary ships.
Trust me, I'm glad. It wasn't just us though... the Klingons are saved too.

That gave me an idea for an anti Hur'q weapon.

Because we are nice people and don't like violence.

Well I don't want to blow up the Hurq motherships. I want to conquer them!
