Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
well I had a good fourth, today was my 'one month' with the girl-friend, so we went out. Wound up going to the same restaurant my Family did for the Fourth . We then went to a movie, then just drove up north of town to see some fireworks/stars and all that good stuff. Unfortunately I got her home late . We're still waiting to hear exactly what will be going on.
Fortunately I'll be out of State for the next week and a half, I'm heading down to Florida to see the grandparents'

Had a great third - beach, BBQ, and boardwalk - and stayed in yesterday. The kids were so exhausted from Sat., and it was 90 F at 9 pm, that we would've had major meltdowns if we went to see the local fireworks.

Today we are working again on the room. So far we have gotten a good deal done, today we are painting trim, and I just got done putting up the tape for the rest of it. I'm so sore, on a plus side, I got a call back from Allsport, a fitness center franchise, for doing lifeguarding, which means I will have a job, which is awesome, I actually can't wait to start

I don't blame 'em - it's probably the best vaca they've had in years.

Mom's in the hospital. Total knee replacement. She'll be home Friday.

Ouch Striker, hope it all goes well.
Today I am going to the city in order to see a private concert of OneRepublic that she got tickets to, it's gonna be awesome! I can't wait for it.
Also I get to read more of my book on my iPod, I love my iPod.

Sorry to hear, but at least you've already gotten an optimistic recovery time. Modern artificial knees are pretty impressive, as long as she isn't intending to enter and track and field events soon.

Thanks, Mikey. Just got back from the hospital. She's all right, but not exactly... lucid. Mumbled something about Hootie and the Blowfish. Didn't even know she knew about that band.

Well, I got a job at the place, and got my one shift permanent, which is great coming in, but otherwise I don't have much Im getting paid form which is sad, but hopefully I'll be getting more shifts coming in eventually, then I would be getting a nice paycheck, otherwise I will be getting something like $40 a week, which isn't too bad to begin with.

For me, it's a... little disconcerting, truth be told.
