I watched a history channel show on the history of the toaster. I forget why exactly they burn it that certain amount but I think there's a sensor inside that when it sees the bread has gotten to a certain temperature it pops it out.

Wouldn't the Federation have privacy laws? And since Talora resigned I don't think Monroe has any authority to track her like that.
