Well last night was interesting. The wife took me to some charity dinner thing she heard about from her doctor. There were several points of notable interest.
1) The event was being held at a place called Momos, which looked like some hole in the wall tavern when we first pulled up to it, there wasn't even a parking lot for the building. Inside however was very nice, and I swear it was bigger inside than it was outside.
2) It was very authentic Greek, not Americanized Greek. The food was...different.
3) My wife's doctor has some very nice legs and is quite qualified to wear a skirt.
4) There were belly-dancers...seriously.

Intriguing food, comfortable environment, and plenty of eye candy. Perfect evening in my books.

That often describes restaurants with some of the best food, I've found.

So this is an event recommended by a Doctor in a building that is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. Sounds familiar...

Does he?

Belly-dancers are not uncommon in 'real' Greek restaurants in the UK.

I'm sitting here in Iowa City for freshman orientation. We're doing day one of the schedule planning which for me meant sitting down and having them plan 12 semester hours of (fairly rigourous) course work for me, then being told that if I want to do the minor in French like I want to and stay on track with the english stuff I'm looking at 19 sh and that's before I even get to electives or Gen.Eds

My dad and I are inaugurating our new 42in plasma TV with JJ Abram's "Star Trek." It's a good night.

We've been looking for a new TV for a while, and today we finally got it. And to test it we decided to watch the most visually impressive film we have. It's not the blue-ray edition and it's not a 1080p TV but it still looks Really Damn Good!

I didn't think you could get a TV that wasn't 1080. But what the hell do I know, I'm watching my HD on a CRT TV. And after a $825 plumbing bill and a new refrigerator due for purchase within a week, a new TV ain't a spending priority right now.

Well, they had 2 choices 780/760.. whatever the lower one is or 1080 and as we have neither blu-ray nor any sort of 1080 cable feed, 1080 wasn't necessary. And

what was the plumbing issue if i may ask?

With a cost that high, I'd guess either a water heater, or busted pipes in a wall somewhere.
Either that or septic.

New toilet installed, two new shower control handles, new shower head, and 3 hours of labor.
