Dark room, feck loads of tablets and a good sleep. Once you've finished that is. Don't even bother moving around for a good day really, at least thats how it is for me. I end up hurling if I so much as sit up after most migraines, at least for a couple of hours.

Yeah, I've dealt with these migraines since I was 2 and a half IIRC so I just live with them, but I usually end up lying down. stitch and bob took the dark rooms of the house, so I'm stuck down here. Oh well, might as well get stuff done, only need like a page to finish this essay, eh, I'll do it later.

Day was a washout, but I didn't mind. Lots of rain and flippin' tornado warnings.

Also, my writing muse is... sleepy. *Sigh* I need a creative adrenaline IV, stat!

Nick, are you taking any scrips? My wife and sis-in-law get them - true migraines, with photophobia and nausea and all that - and while I'm against over-prescribing, both have found that if you can tolerate it, Imitrex can work wonders.

Tyyr - what am I going to love, other than being out of the car for ten hours at a stretch with a 5-year-old and a 14-month-old? Thank the Lord for portable DVD players!

Um, on another note, I'm home. I'm never going to Ohio again. My cousins out there used to live in the Audubon section of New Orleans - where visiting them was a pleasure. Now, my cousin's husband is the chair of physical chemistry at Case Western Reserve University - yes, I think his IQ is measured in four digits - so they're in a beautiful suburb of Cleveland. They have two kids; when we went out for older one's Bar Mitzvah, we found out that my bro-in-law had an acoustic neuroma that was half a year away from leaving him a vegetable, or room temperature. This time, we found out that my sis-in-law has lesions and areas of demyelization on the brain, which may indicate simple neuritis... or may indicate early stages of multiple sclerosis. :bangwall: Logically, I know there isn't any connection between travelling to Ohio and my family's neurological health, but... I ain't going back.

Recently I had a talk with my psychiatrist, about how fuzzy things can get in my head. my thoughts shoot all over the place, making me associate tea lefs with hippo's for example. So I asked, don't you have a pill for such tings? It would be really nice if i could just continue to work without every odd random thought messing up my stream of thoughts.
It turns out they have. I am very glad I got it.

If you don't mind my asking, what did they give you? Some sort of targetted stimulant, or a modern analog of L-dopa?

I'm not surprised to hear that (the choice of drug, that is.) Over here, at least, ADD is no longer a classifiable condition - rather, people who present as such are classified as ADHD without the "H." There is a next-gen Ritalin available - my cousin has just started it - but the stimul;ant effect is pretty much the same, and certainly helps much more with the "ADD" than with the "H" among people who have it.

In my wife's school, parents of children with borderline ADHD or similar cognitive disorders, and for whom prescriptions are deemed to be jumping the gun, are often advised to give their kids a high-caffeine beverage in the morning. It seems to work fairly well.

Ok, Well, just watched the live feeds of the WWDC (Apple's developer conference). I now am actually looking into the pricing of an iPhone plan with AT&T, I want one so bad.

Well, the internet in our house went after trying to fix someone's computer that had serious Internet issues, I cleaned out all the viruses on it, but it still murdered my Internet, for the most part. I can connect to DITL on my mom's iPad, but that's the only place I can go to right now, which I am so glad, I wouldn't be able to live for a day without you fun-loving guys. Haha. Today when I get back from school, Im going tot call the ISP and tell them the situation and have them come out and replace the router.

It is the weirdest problem though.

Very sorry to hear it. I assume you mean the young man was struck by the senior's car?
