My chronology may be off, and if so please correct me - but wasn't Ticonderoga already taken by the time of the march on Washington? I don't thing the Canadian border was in any question by that time.Captain Seafort wrote:but they were also there to force the US to divert forces away from the Canadian border

I guess that depends on who you ask. If there were magic headbands at work, you might never know.Captain Seafort wrote:At New Orleans? I'd've thought that thought that was pretty obvious.Deepcrush wrote:Both objectives failed.

Gentlemen, I'd like to take a moment to express my admiration for how well versed in history you are. History was never my favorite subject so I forgot most of what I had to learn. I never fail to learn something from these "discussions".

Well today for me was just crappy overall. No specific reason, it just seemed to suck really bad.
Oh well, guess you have to take what you get and run with it, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I got my new bike yesterday, a quick £200 later. Unfortunately decent bikes cost that kind of money but it really showed. It was SO much easier than my trashy mountain bike I had before. I love it. I may get some mocks from what it looks like, Search up a "Probike vintage" or a "Dawes Diploma" to see what it is or is like respectively. But I don't care if I look like im from the 50's.

'Round here, vintage-style bikes are coming back into vogue.
In other news, I picked up a six of an Oregon beer called Dead Guy Ale, specifically, what they call "Rogue," which is billed as a maibock. In fact, it's brewed with an ale yeast. It has the color of a dark amber or single bock, with some hoppiness but not so much to overwhelm the maltiness of the chocolate malt. Sort of like an ale-brewed porter, in a way. Anyway, the wind was blowing up to 40 mph last night, so it was a perfect, smooth dark to drink at what turned out to be a slightly chilly barbecue.

OMG We just saw the worst commercial ever!

Ugh, I hate my spare laptop. It's slow as dirt, the monitor is twitchy and flickers, and the keyboard is just ever so different from my desktop and prime laptop that it throws my typing off.
