You know, for some reason that reminded me of the silliest arguement I've had this month. The question was, "If Jesus hadn't been crucified at 33.....would he have gone bald?"
Oh, the mental excercises I put myself through

Why would anyone want to be 'net emotional though? My emotions get enough exercise in real ife in the 16ish hours I'm awake. I'm here because I like, no, love 'Star Trek' and occasional banter. I don't want or need to argue with a (to all intents and purposes) relative stranger. I can do that on the London Underground. Interesting thought though....are keyboard warriors created because they find it hard to express themselves in the real world?Reliant121 wrote:Of the people I would consider mild, I can think of...You, Striker, the Girls and Nick. The others either arent really all that net-emotional, or they become rather passionate during debates.

I'd say age has far more variance on it rather than being demonstrative in person.

Maybe because temperance is learned, but I think a person's temperament is what it is, online or not.Reliant121 wrote:I'd say age has far more variance on it rather than being demonstrative in person.
@ TLH - I think some "keyboard warriors" are just that sort of person, no matter the setting; but many are people who are too timid, inarticulate, sheepishly polite, etc., to show that degree of testicular fortitude in RL so they compensate online, where there are little or no real consequences.

Re: Why'd you join?
I can only speak personally......but if anything I'm a bit more mild mannered online. Online, I have the time to take a breath and give a measured response. I'm a bit more irritable in RL

Re: Why'd you join?
I'm used to conveying emotions via internet so I do it a lot.
You can tell when I'm ambivalent or worse, because I simply stop using emoticons, or humour etc.

Very few things can piss me off here. Some things, like Darkstar. But not many things.
