Oddly enough, in 2001 there was a a census taken in England, and there were well over 100,000 people in the census who recorded their religion as "Jedi." Anyone remember this? It was the dorkiest and funniest thing I'd ever heard of.

That's us Brits for you. If we encounter anything resembling bumptious officialdom (which the census definitely counts as) a significant proportion of us will invariably take the piss out of out it.

I've checked into it. You have to have something like a hundred people as members of your "religion" to get tax-exempt status.

I've rolled it around a few times in the ol' noodle. Wouldn't work, as my beliefs dictate non-reliance on structured organization in the pursuit of enlightenment. Kind of puts me out of business as soon as I start.

Kind of like a "church of chaos"?

I believe everyone should find their own path, and not blindly follow any organization at any time.

So, yeah. Sort of an "anti-church", if you will.
