Well Enterprise was propably the most US centric series ever insofar that the actors didn't even pretend to come from different parts of the world. (Except Reed but US - UK.....really the same difference as between germany and austria, meaning not much for the rest of the world) yet naming the NX ships after shuttles doesn't bother me at all.Tyyr wrote:That's the problem, why is it US centric? They were (and unfortunatly still are) an important part of the space programme and naming a few new ships after them doesn't seem US centric to me, merly honoring history a bit. So maybe it is uninspired but not a real problem imho.
