Re: Starship Pics
Because that would make for a short lived little ship if the D'D ever turned.

They pulled that in the Opening Video to Star Trek: Armada. Worf took the Defiant into the hollow section, letting the pulse phasers loose on the rear section. As she left, they let loose mines from rear launchers, blowing the port wing off.

Re: Starship Pics
Plot fate helps with such things. When dealing with a ship that has a crew onboard, it would be a bit harder.

I'm hoping to find a good CGI of the Scimitar as well

It was tried in Shatner's novel The ReturnMark wrote:I have a hard time finding good Romulan pics for some reason.
Rochey, I was thinking the exact same thing. I wonder why a smaller ship never tried to fly right threw that BIG opening.

I'm used to that big space...we have a xmas ornament of the D'D class.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.
Re: Starship Pics
That is badass. Did you get it from an actual site somewhere?

Re: Starship Pics
that is pretty sweet.
ya, my dad got it a few years after I was born...it was made by some specialty ornament makers...they made one other kind of ship too, but I can't remember what it is.Tsukiyumi wrote:Really? That's awesome.Lt. Staplic wrote:...we have a xmas ornament of the D'D class.

Re: Starship Pics
I love this, and really wish we saw more TOS "Constitution Family" ships around. The fact that we never saw the Saladin/Hermes, etc is quite disappointing, as they're really a great design.Mark wrote:http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo27 ... ships3.jpg
Some TOS era ships.......also from trekmania.net

We didn't see any of those Franz Joseph designs because Roddenberry put the kibosh on them as soon as he fell out with Joseph - I believe he was afraid of having to pay Joseph for his work.

Re: Starship Pics
The guy may have created 'Trek, but in the end, he was just a greedy, womanizing douchebag.
Plus, he only wrote a few episodes out of how many? It may have been his creation, but it sure wasn't his creativity that made the show great.

To be fair on that side, he was the one who created the entire concept and produced it.
