Really? I figured that everybody hated mine because I write like I get paid by the word.

I certainly havn't noticed that. All i have noticed is that you often space things out by leaving a space between each sentence.

Actually, there is a specific reason for that. Grammatically, every time the speaker changes a new paragraph should begin. This particular format lends itself to defining a paragraph by a double-space rather than an indent. Read each space between lines as a new paragraph.

Thank you. I think I got just the right amount of 'Trek-no-babble, without getting too heavy on it.

So, is it just me or has the posting limits gone out the window? And is someone else going to post, or should I post my escape right away?

I apologize if I offended. I only posted because a couple of people said that their posts were depending on mine being done.

If you're referring to length, I was just trying to complete the sortie in one post - again, in order to allow others who were waiting for mine to be complete.

As far as posting right away, I would touch base with Rochey and sync your ideas concerning the present happenings.

hmm...I just had a crazy idea for an escape plan. I just need Talora to leave with the child, and for the Anti-personel mines in the hanger to shoot me, and with my characters weakened state, create an overdose that kills me. It could work. Or is that too over the top?

I assume that you're talking about the non-permanent type of death?

Yep. If I appear dead, then Rochey and Monroe won't argue when I leave, via a torpodoe funeral. The Chakat's Dream then picks me up and I'll be revived.

I figure it goes down with me getting hit by those tranqs. Then taken to sickbay by the doctor, where I tell the captain I resign and then lose consciousness and the doctor announces I'm dead, when in reality I'm in a medically induced coma created by the EMH, Silvertail. Then a heated discussion about my actions and death occurs among the senior officers , and maybe those ensigns I spent time in prison with happens during my funeral. This would also be a good place for Talora to resign and announce her intentions to leave.

That's all I have so far. I would've sent this to just the people directly involved, but seeing as that's most of the regular posters I figured this would save time. So is that too over the top or what?

Seems alright to me. Though given that the tranqs are probably designed to knock you out near-immediately, perhaps it would be better to send a private communication to the Captain before hand.

Well, Chakats are designed to be far more resistant to any type of drugs then most species. A blessing and a curse. I doubt Lt. Munroe would do research on Chakat(not that this universe would have much info on them anyway) and he'd probably use a high-strength cat tranq. Or possibly a dog tranq, since he got the two confused in the past. Anyway, given this Chakat's weakened state the tranqs will probably be able to knock hir out, but it would take time.
