Talk about aggrevation. My estranged other half got out of jail again where she learned that the gal she wanted to leave me for was using her. She reached out and felt me up right out front of my job and said "still mine".

And so, my nerdism has increased to full throttle after receiving a new HTC Desire which seems that Android phones can finally take on an iPhone and, IMO and a lot of other reviewers opinions, can win.

Did I mention that I don't like Apple much?

Yeah, it makes it easy to say that it would win. Just wait til the 4g iPhone. Remember, they have been trying to beat it out for 3 years and have had nothing close to really decent. Now they have something comparable, and Apple will ne releasing a new software version (OS 4) thats actually nearly decent from the looks of the keynote, and also will be releasing a new iPhone, which from the sounds of rumors, will be pretty frikin awesome.

I'm not denying that the iPhone is a brilliant piece of HARDWARE (apart from the infuriatingly challenging battery slot or lack there of). But the software is really limited in customization, the new multitasking system isnt really multitasking, its just a cache of a few Apple services that programs can access, and an expensive appstore. And on a personal level, the design is boring . The first generation was really pretty but its just been same old same old.

One thing I will give is that music syncing is flawless on an iPhone.

I suppose really its a price thing for me. I can buy two Desire's that do everything an iPhone does and more for similar money to 1 iPhone sim free. Contracts for a Desire where you get the phone free are £30 per month. Contracts for a iPhone 3GS where you get the phone free start at £50 per month. I could get a contract and 2/3 another on Desire for one iPhone. I would have an iPhone if it weren't so expensive to own one.

Mark - the amount you described isn't that much caffeine, but it's an awful lot of sugar. That much simple sugar may not trouble your blood sugar on the high end like it would me, but it's highly glycemic - absorbed fast and gotten rid of fast. Even though your blood sugar levels may not go above or below normal levels, the speed with which blood sugar drops can have a real effect on coordination, balance, and (here it is) mood.

This is where HTC got cheeky. They made the Nexus one, for google all fine and dandy. And then they release their own version, with their own Sense interface which was the first real android system usable by normal people

HTC however has always made everything amazing. Heck, Windows Mobile 5.0-6.5 was great on an HTC phone...

Indeed, we have a Touch Pro 2 lying about somewhere (Tilt 2 in America I think?) and, remarkably, it actually works.
