Mir grinned and pulled her face down for a kiss as he pulled her little body down to lie on top of him. He took the time to start relearning the curves of her trim frame.

Solaria was uncertain and proceeded slowly, though with obvious eagerness. She was as interested in taking time to learn and experience every sensation and feeling that she could. The brush of lips across the tender flesh of the neck, the soft touch of fingers dancing along the curves of bodies, the rougher pull of a clenched fist through hair. It was a slow, playful build to the climax, with many detours that were their own enjoyment.
As the pleasure rose, Mir begin to experience odd flashes of thought through his mind. Brief bursts of emotion at first; a tiny bit of doubt that melted away, lingering embarressment, hot lust. It built into sensations, enjoyable sensations, but one's without any noticable cause. Then he had a moment where Solaria gazed down at him, and for a moment he saw himself overlaid, two images competing for the same space, until she closed her eyes.

Mir laid panting in the bed with an idiotic grin on his face and a fine layer of perspiration covering his body. "Wow Sugar, does that... always happen like that?"

Solaria opened her eyes, and the double image returned. She closed them again, and her face took on a look of concentration. "Won't know until we try again, will we?" she asked. Mir felt the twinge of feelings and sensations again, though fainter, almost a memory more than a reoccurance. When Solaria opened her eyes again, his vision remained clear. "That was...intense."

Mir rubbed his eyes, "That's gonna take some getting used to." He reached over and ran a hand up her side. "So, try again huh? I know another position we could try, and you wouldn't have to do much work at all this time."

Solaria smiled and laid down across Mir, resting her head on his chest. "Give me a moment...I'm not exactly up to full strength."

"I'm not too keen on leaving the servitor unsupervised," Skive remarked.
Buck pointed to himself. "I go?"

She smiled against his chest. "So kind of you," she yawned.

Skived nodded. "Go, ensure none escapes the cleansing flame. This is the work of the Emperor we do now."

"Don't start thaaaaaaaattt," Mir complained as he started to yawn too. "Ugh, it's been a long day." He picked up his chrono and looked at it. "Well damn, I've known you for about seventeen hours now. Happy anniversary."

Buck slammed his fist to his chest. A loud bang rang out as the skull crushing force impacted the Ogryn. "I GO! EM'PER BE PROUD!" Buck turned and raced around the back of the building.

"That all?" Solaria murmered sleepily. "Seems so much longer."

Skive watched Buck race around the building, then glanced at his servitor. "How come you've never that enthusiastic?" he asked the cyborg. It didn't answer of course, merely continued to stare intensely at the building, scanning for targets.

"Tell me about it," Mir kicked his legs out of bed and moved to the other, grabbing for his pants and the shotgun. "Get another nap darlin, I'll watch over you. When you get up we'll switch."

"k," Solaria replied softly, and her breathing quickly slipped into the steady rhythm of sleep.

Charging through the alleyway between the flaming shop and it's neighbor, Buck burst out into a back courtyard that several of the surrounding buildings shared backs with. Right before him, he saw a man running down an alley directly across the courtyard, moving fast for the street beyond.
Out of the corner of his eye, Buck caught the sight of motion, and glancing over saw another figure, half hidden in the shadows being cast by the flaming building. It ducked further back into the darkness, pressing flat to the wall, nearly invisible.
