Re: Ex Astris Scientia Poll
I did my bit for King and Country and voted for DITL.
And I agree w/ Staplic...DITL>Memory Alpha.

Re: Ex Astris Scientia Poll
Here here. Of course, we could always expand the main page a bit with articles on Starfleet infostructure and stuff like that, but DITL is just better and more detailed with the ships.

DITL is the ultimate ship website but it just can't compete with MA when it comes to episode guides and character bios, MA is to large. It has an article about grapes!
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

DITL has entries on baked potatoes, bread sticks, milk, scrambled eggs, steak, and a couple of hundred other such items.Teaos wrote:DITL is the ultimate ship website but it just can't compete with MA when it comes to episode guides and character bios, MA is to large. It has an article about grapes!
For personnel, we have more than 2,300 entries on different people. Not too bad since I wrote every one of them myself.
Still, it is true. I can't keep up with the entire rest of Trek fandom, much as I would like to think otherwise.

Re: Ex Astris Scientia Poll
That's a cool site, but I've seen it before. The thing I like best about DITL is that Graham seems to be quite detail oriented. When I was first cruising star trek websites it was for some VERY specific stats on some ships, and when I found DITL I was blown away. I really liked Grahams speculations too. They actually sound well thought out and logical, compared to some of the other crap that I saw. There were actually answers to my questions.
My only critisisim was that Graham stopped writing Portal before finishing the story

I wasn't trying to say that the other site was better in way shape or form, it's just...different.
Graham, It's not the ending that matters, it's the plot that took us there.

Don't distract him! We're waiting for the Coalition novel.

Indeed, I'd love to see a continuation of Portal. Ignore the prequel trilogy if you must, I think you can come up with something better.Lt. Staplic wrote:but he's gotten me hooked on that one already!
Though a coalition novel would be interesting.
