Wow, Teaos, thanks for all that work!

I have a question - when two PCs are interacting, do you just write for someone else's character? Also, do we know what's going to happen ahead of time? I assume the DS9 introduction is just that, and we're open to introduce ourselves and play in the sandbox, so to speak?

Yes. As long as you keep the other player's character consistant with his previous behaviour there's no problem. Though if you want to do anything major with their characters you may want to consult with the player in question first to make sure it's okay.
Also, do we know what's going to happen ahead of time?
Well, we usualy have a general idea of what we're trying to do in a mission, and we sort of just make it up from there.
I assume the DS9 introduction is just that, and we're open to introduce ourselves and play in the sandbox, so to speak?
Pretty much. It's just a way of getting all the characters together again and introducing new characters to older ones.

Good. Maybe the intimidating, pushy, yet lonely Lt. Cix will find some playmates before he really DOES eat somebody

Thorin - I figure the E-E is still pottering around somewhere since it would only be 20 years old, but yeah I assume a new one will be commisioned in a few years as a Paladin. Not really relivant to us now though :)
Also, do we know what's going to happen ahead of time?
When I post the extended mission brief it will include a mission plan. This will just be a very ruff out line of what the mission should do.

Something like, seek out the splinter group, find out capabilities, negotiate, if needed destry.

This is just so everyone is on the same page and doesnt run off on some wild tangent.

Just an idea....should we ask someone to move the Alpha and Beta missions, as well as all of the other thread that were not using here to the RP Archive???

I could do that if I wanted to but I want to keep all the Daystrom stuff here as long as she runs, and I don't see her ending anytime soon. Every mission we do with her is better than the last since everyone is more practiced and used to it. Those skills carry over to the other ones as well.

The amount of "history" this RP now has also helps a lot. Just look at the size of this mission brief compared to the first one. We have much more to play with and with the introduction of mutliple player characters this time this mission is taking on yet another level of RP play.

For us new folk, much more to play with also = much more to read... I'm having trouble staying on top of all this. Where's my whiney emoticon? :blub: There, that'll do. That's the second time in a row I've used that. Maybe I should talk to my shrink about this...

Star Wars RP could use more people ;)
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Out of all the mission brief all you really need to read is the first post, the brief.

Just jump right in and post something while we are warming up this mission. Right now all you need to do is have fun and post something. The rest of the information is ship stats which wont be relivant for a long time and our bios which you only need to skim when you use one of our character in your post.

As it is now you can just post about your guy hanging around the station, or walking around your ship, Maybe have a chat with one of our characters.

I expanded the mission brief. I will probably expand it a few times more when we get close to each stage of the mission.

BTW cool post in the paintball war Rochey, got a mental image of a Tholian raining down a hail of paintballs rambo style.
