The ability to destroy a planet, is insignificant, next to the power of the Force.

Impossible. They said that due to that technobabble particle they used that it was totally useless.

Indeed. It'd make a pretty cool planet-killer though.

Don't worry Reliant, your time will come. Soon enough, you'll see the glory that is the Emperor. :happydevil:

And... now that joke is done, back to topic.

No, we've just lost whatever wacky thing was going on and its time to get back on topic so we can go off topic again. Seeing how we can't go off topic if we aren't on a topic to begin with.

I wonder what would happen if you filled a torpedo with JUST protomatter. Wonder if that would be as devistating as the Genesis torpedo. If so, it would make the quantum torpedo obsolete rather quickly.

Judging by David Marcus' comments and the failure of its use in Genesis, I'd say the payload would fall apart before it could reach a target.

To bad. A small magazine of Genesis Torpedos (minus the re-creating effect) would set Starfleet decades ahead of every other major power.

Other powers have planet destorying tech, the Romulans have that Nemesis planet destoryed gun and the Klingons have the power of over mining.

Nitpick, but the thelaron weapon from Nemesis wasn't a very effective planet killer. It took 10 minutes for the thing to charge up enough to kill around a thousand people at a range of a couple hundred metres at most. It'd be far more effecient to just blast the planet from orbit.

If you preped the weapon under cloak adn then only appeared to fire before cloaking again it could wipe out half of the Federation.
