Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Thing is, I reeeealy hate being the center of attention. I'd be horribly embarrassed doing something like this.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
You'd only be the center of attention for four minutes, like you said. And don't worry, the person interviewing you would be getting half the attention. Go for it, dude. You and Ian have put alot of time, money, and effort into this site. Enjoy SOME kind of attention for it. Everyone needs their 15 minutes of fame, brother.GrahamKennedy wrote:Thing is, I reeeealy hate being the center of attention. I'd be horribly embarrassed doing something like this.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
This morning, at six am, I got a text message from a hottie. She wants to go out with me on Saturday for dinner, tea, and a movie. Now, this IS the US, so the invite out for tea caught me a little off guard, but hey, I'm adaptable. Did I mention, she's a friggin' hottie? I'd post her pic up here, but I only have it on my e-mail. If somebody wants to help me out, I'll be happy to show the forum exactly WHO asked me out.

Ah go for it Graham. Its only four minutes and you can prep all you like for it. Its your 15... er 4 minutes of fame.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

My PC died last night. So this morning, I bought a new one and am back... sorta. It's gonna take me a long time to get back to snuff.

What happened specifically? BIOS failed? Processor crapped out?RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:My PC died last night. So this morning, I bought a new one and am back... sorta. It's gonna take me a long time to get back to snuff.

Motherboard self destructed? Hard drive crashed? Power supply burn out?

I'm just trying to rationalize buying a whole new computer if only one component failed. Of course, if you've got the money for it, why not?

Not a clue what happened to the hard drive. It just... wouldn't boot up. *Shrug* I'm PC-illiterate.

What did you do with the broken system?

When you turned on the power, did any lights or fans come on? If so, did you hear any odd error beeps?RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Not a clue what happened to the hard drive. It just... wouldn't boot up. *Shrug* I'm PC-illiterate.

My first guess would be either the power supply or the RAM went bad.

Look at it this way Graham. It'll be a further 4 minutes of your life where you get to talk about Trek....something that I think, juuust think you might enjoyMark wrote:Everyone needs their 15 minutes of fame, brother.GrahamKennedy wrote:Thing is, I reeeealy hate being the center of attention. Yeah, the lights and fan came on, along with this really disturbing whirring noise.Tsukiyumi wrote:When you turned on the power, did any lights or fans come on?
