True. But a stern look makes one fly all to pieces, though.

My attitude involving the Oberth and Nova classes reflect my personality though. I'd be utterly wasted posted on a science ship. The extent of my scientific training was going to Space Camp when I was 16, in Huntsville, Alabama. And even then, they judged me as best assigned to aeronotics, as the pilot or shuttle commander. Took a turn commanding the space station science lab mission for 8 hours, which made me nuts. Actually in the cockpit of the shuttle was cool, but for the final mission they assigned me to ground control, as the overall mission commander. Maybe because I self-destructed the shuttle when we lost control on re-entry and were heading in to crash in the middle of a city. No one else thought of it, but I, as a trekker, knew that it needed to be done. And since it was only a simulatior, I didn't REALLY wrestle with my descision to much.

No, no. Give me a deep space explorer with some firepower on it, so I don't have to make nice, nice as the only hope my crew has against a hostile power. A Nebula, Galaxy, Prommie, or Soverign would be the best fit for me. The Prommie, I think.

Man you must have gotten beat up at school.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

i always liked the Oberth. I appreciate its aesthetics, its stunted and compact form. Plus its my kinda mission.

The Oberth is, overall, a good ship. The problem is when it's thrown into situations it wasn't designed to handle, such as combat.

Yeah. An Oberth vs a Borg Cube. :madashell:

I'd say this ship was pretty useless too

Travel pods were completely pointless as well. You could walk to the ship via an umbillical connection quicker than get there on a travel pod.
