That is a subjective analysis, and hardly grounds to complain. I'm not complaining about the Paladin sounding stupid, boring and dorky for that same reason
And your liking of Pegasus is also a subjective analysis. This is a subjective subject.
The point remains: you like it, me, Reliant, Munro and probably a few others don't. You're outnumbered.

Who suggested a name had to fit anyway? Someone called an Akira the Thunderchild. what does the Akira have to do with a fictional iron-clad? We're talking about sound not meaning.

The point remains: I'm the one with a character on it, you and Reliant don't and I think Munroe is uncertain as to where his character is at the moment.

if your going to take it like that, then technically its Teaos decision as to what the ship is called because it is his Roleplay.

So? My opinion remains just as valid as yours.

not equal. He's taking a vote on the battleship's name/class. Unless you're suggesting we vote on the name of every ship in the fleet.

No, but it's generaly accepted that we each have a say in what it's named.

I am?
I said I was up for either the captain or XO position. I perfer the XO though.

Also Rochey and Reliant are more than willing to make a char on the Intrepid. And we haven't asked the guy who just signed up. So I'm going to make a thread and we'll vote on it.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Maybe there wasn't a captain ranked officer available. And we've seen Nebula-class ships normally commanded by captains but we've seen them commanded by Lt. Commanders anyway(The first USS Prometheus and the USS Sutherland).

And the problem with an XO position on the Intrepid-class ship is that Monroe called it first, which means either a)he'll have to take a different position or a different ship which could upset him or b)I'll have to be XO on a different ship and I personally feel that we might be stretching our characters out too far.
I'd be okay either / or. He does have 20 years in Starfleet. But that'd only be ten years from ensign to captain. Stretching it a bit.
I thought that meant you'd be okay with taking a different position or a different ship, the first option, in addition to the second option.

Oh sorry. I meant I'd be okay in XO or captain on the Intrepid. I have another character for the Daystorm. Sorry about that, that was my bad.

Oh...okay. I see what you did there. Well, Teaos ruled against any more captains so if you want the XO position on the Intrepid I have no problem with that. I just thought if it had been okay I'd take it, but I have no problem with finding a different ship.

Why not just take a different position on the Intrepid, Blackstar?

Oh hmm. Well that kind of throws a wrench into the equation.

It's the rank thing I have issues with. M'Real was Monroe's supirior(in rank) 10 years ago and there's no reason why that shouldn't be now, IMO. Is the XO position on the Nova still open? I think the only other federation ship left other then that is the Nebula and that has a large enough shuttle bay to handle the Shadow Fox. Plus a science/scout type vessel is more in-line with the M'Real character's background then the all-around type that the Nebs are.

I have no problem with letting you XO on the Intrepid-class ship. Although if you convince Taoes to give me the captancy I wouldn't mind of course, but that's doubtful.

And since it looks like it won't get named Pegasus, can I name the Nova Pegasus?
