What's the latest in people's lives?
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Wow......a female "friend" who I haven't seen in a couple of months heard about my wife's arrest and just showed up here at my job. She invinted me over to her place tomorrow, grabbed my a$$, and rubbed herself against my "package". Hmmmm.....what do think that she wants?
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

The latest in my life is that at the request of our most glorious admins I have decided that I shall try to be nice for the rest of August.

God, so am I! I remember typing with one eye open and about two inches from the monitor!Mikey wrote:I'm impressed. You type remarkably well for being three sheets to the wind.

I do that sometimes, but its only cause I'm in bed typing on the laptop without my glasses - usually with the screen at 80 degrees to the keyboard to provide light.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I had lots of fun in Paris - though I've got a whole lot of sun burn as a reminder, as well as a hole in my bank account.
We visited the Champs Elysees/Arc de Triomphe - the roundabout was nearly as impressive as the arch itself, I think 12 roads go on to it and the cars going ON to the roundabout have right of way over the ones already on! Supposedly no cars are insured on it because of how dangerous it was. Even for the short time I was there I saw some very near misses and angry horn honkings.
After that we walked down the road and across the bridge to the Eiffel Tower - which we came back to later that night and had a sit in the big parks as it was all lit up in the EU stars and colours, and then started 'sparkling', which was really awesome [France are currently holding the EU presidency I was informed].
St Germaine Church was next in the order of the day after a trip along the river on a boat-bus, though we only went there looking for a toilet.
Then back on the boat-bus to Notre Dame which was good, but not amazing. This may have had something to do with my now vampire like desire to stay out of sun light as my arms and neck were on fire...
Then back on the boat-bus again to the Louvre and the glass pyramid(s), which we stayed at for quite a while wondering around, then went for an Italian (in a nation of food connoisseurs - I know). Then back to the Eiffel Tower under the sunset!
The next day was Montmartre, which was (after plenty of aftersun and sun cream) really awesome. We went up to the top of the Sacre Coeur and saw all of Paris from there. The only thing that was not so fun were the masses of people trying to sell you their dodgy gear, particularly bracelets - they try and grab hold of your hand and put them on, so I told them in no short ways to not touch me and pushed them off. They were even worse towards the girls I was with so I had to step in to my man-role and put them straight
Then down the hill to the Moulin Rouge (oh my) and we stayed at a cafe for ages, where I had a couple of pints - for €9 each (and that was one of the cheaper places). Back to the hotel for a wash, shave, and spruce up, and back to Montmarte for another Italian. After that we noticed they had this big screen which was showing a film. So we sat down to watch that for a bit - it was in Spanish and had French subtitles. I don't speak a word of either, though the girls learned a bit of French in high school so got around better than me. Back to the Hotel...
Then the last day was just chilled out - the morning was Napoleon Bonaparte's tomb and a really, really good WW1/2 museum, then the afternoon was a visit to a zoo. Then back to the airport!

Welcome, Admiral. As you can see, we in the Admiralty enjoy a much higher quality of booze, food and hookers. Here they're called "escorts".Cpl Kendall wrote:I appear to be a Rear Admiral now, interesting.

I'm having to make do with a 3 litre bottle of 'White Lightning', a bag of peanuts and an underwear catalogue
