Hi
In keeping with the ditl strength indices, was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the tholian webspinners for TOS?

It would be good as a defensive weapon, or for keeping disabled ships from escaping. Aside from that I cant imagine any offensive uses for such a device.
Whats up with the completely unrelated poll?

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Hiya, i (all be it, grossly ineptly) like to fashion, miniature ships, from resin, epoxy putty and even wood, anyways, its mostly for tabletop wargames and giving away to pals, i've been thinking about tholians, and yes apart from the webspinners from ENT and TOS, we don't have any cannon representations of tholian vessels from TNG/DS9 era, so would it be entirely ridiculous and ''dominion battleship/dreadnought''/klingon bird of prey scaling nightmare'', for me to fashion some small webspinners but say, also create a larger version, was thinking making one about 2/3 the length of a Galor perhaps.....just after opinions here

Did we actually see any conventional weapons on the Tholian ships? The equivalent of phasers and torpedoes, I mean.

Damn it! One of the TV networks was showing the Tholian episode of TOS, and I only caught the last ten minutes.
Hopefully they'll show it again soon.
