Woah, when the hell did that happen?
"You've all been selected for this mission because you each have a special skill. Professor Hawking, John Leslie, Phil Neville, the Wu-Tang Clan, Usher, the Sugar Puffs Monster and Daniel Day-Lewis! Welcome to Operation MindFuck!"

They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

Re: USS Stargazer
Odds are that they did, they had them on TOS shuttles after all.Rochey wrote:It's possible the shuttles had their own warp drives, which would allieviate some of those problems.
Seven in the number of seats, you can easily pack double that number in. And assuming they had rations on board or a small replicator, they should have been able to survive quite well (if uncomformtabely). Mind you we have no idea how many crew Stargazer had or her pod or shuttle complement.

Re: USS Stargazer
That is assuming all Ferengi think alike, but since DS9 we have seen that is not the case. Nog and Rom do not think like normal Ferengi, nor did the Grand Nagus. For a Ferengi to put revenge above profit might seem unusual but is by no means improbable. In fact, having a Ferengi think this way actually gave the race as a whole a bit more depth. I get sick of seeing entire species think and dress alike and 'Trek was very guilty of this for a long time.Since when do Ferengi put revenge above profit? Quark's cousin tried to kill him and he let it go to make a profit.

The early TNG Ferengi were all members of the militay anyways, who typically have different outlooks on life than a civvie Expat bartender and his socially retarded brother.katefan wrote:

Where's the profit in serving the military?Cpl Kendall wrote:The early TNG Ferengi were all members of the militay anyways, who typically have different outlooks on life than a civvie Expat bartender and his socially retarded brother.katefan wrote:

Re: USS Stargazer
Because we KNOW from the show that the early Ferengi were depicted with unis, rank titles, military-type heirarchical organization, etc.
I can't stand nothing dull

All right, given your prior behaviour I had my doubts.
How about because they get paid to serve in the military? And likely plunder and loot the people they defeat, they did steal an energy converter in The Last Outpost. Likely the Ferengi Alliance is structured along the lines of the old British Empire (whose primary purpose was to trade) and the Feregni military along the lines of the East India Company whose private military served as merchants and Navy (they had private troops as well).
That fit's neatly with their observed TNG behaviour and statements.

Oh...that makes sense. Guess I was thinking too modern.Cpl Kendall wrote:Blackstar the Chakat wrote:

God i missed my chance to flame blackstar.
Simply put.
If you dont even bother to f*cking watch the episode, then dont f*cking debate it. your excuse: poor memory and no access to the episode. Simple answer, although i doubt you'd ever let it happen due to your incomprehensible stupidity/immaturity: Dont argue it, you moron!

You may have seen it but it's pretty clear that you don't put any effort into understanding it or any TNG.Blackstar the Chakat wrote: I said I saw this episode! Am I saying this wrong? Am I not being clear enough?
