This is a true point. And a whole mess of us have died crossing lines.
Yep thats what I mean, even lines that are quit obvious they will still try and cross...
"When you get right up to the line that you're not supposed to cross, the only person in front of you will be me!"
-CDR (CENTCOM)
"There's nothing wrong with crossing that line a little bit, it's jumping over it buck naked that will probably get you in trouble..."

I was referring more to people trying to fly (how many died, do you suppose, trying to test some half-assed flying machine?
), to invent better power sources, etc. Many more will die when space exploration moves to the private sector, of course.
Then there's always, " You can't climb that mountain; you'll die."
Plenty make it, but a number of people have died climbing Everest... Why? Because it's there/because we can. Sometimes, pushing boundaries leads to great things, but many times, it just leads to disaster.
There is only one way of avoiding the war – that is the overthrow of this society. However, as we are too weak for this task, the war is inevitable. -L. Trotsky, 1939
