Think about it, rather then having to fight everyone, you join with everyone. They make you strong, they serve the new starfleet and with that the federation will rule! It just is, it just will be, but that is all in time! When all see the light that is the federation, and all who don't see it will die! Its just a matter of time, thats all.

Again you fail to see the glory of the federation. You dont need force if everyone wants to join you. With no one left in the alpha and beta to face the federation, everyone will want in. The breen and romulans will fight but they will fail, then the rest will not even have to be asked, they will be fighting over the right to take their rightful places at the council of the new UFP. Peace through order, order through unity!

As I said, they wont ally against you, allowing you to pick them off one by one. None of the AQ races could stand against a fully militarised Federation, so why share the glory of ruling the galaxy? And if any races do try to unite against you, a few Genesis torpedos at their home worlds should discourage any moves against you, and encourage them to surrender all econimic and military assets to you.

So what if a few don't want to take their place within the new federation, most will, the cardis, klings, xindi, bajor, gorn. If some others wish to stay apart then them, and when the next big bad guy comes along they'll beg for entry and protection like all the others. They join us or face the galaxy alone, their choice. Cant you just see it, houndreds of thousands of ships from dozens of races with hundreds of races serving on board! Just think about it!

Anyhow, this topic is prouf of starfleets current fallings, having no mass producable ships is a crime. There is no reason for starfleet to not have a standing army and battle fleet. The war started and starfleet did well to begin with but started running out of ships. Lets face it, the Klingon ships aren't as good but they can be built in huge numbers. Starfleet needs warships that are fast and easy to build. Or, if they want to keep building art like ships then they need to be building non stop with every shipyard they have turning out as many ships as they can. "Damn the cost, full speed ahead!"
