Yeah, same girlfriend. This one is legit a keeper. As for rare, yes. When I'm not with a girlfriend its usually a different girl every weekend. The folks at Trojan were starting to know me by name.

And bocce is amazing, especially on the beach. One of my roomates and I deal out hardcore pwnage to our friends.

Nothing from VAT goes to running the health service. That is paid for by National Insurance alone. The rules for that are as follows:

Not true. No central tax money is ring-fenced for specific purposes, no matter what the original intention was. It all goes into a common pot, and all spending is spent from that pot.

If you doubt that, consider that NHS funding has risen by almost 100% in real terms over the last ten years.

The National Insurance rate has not even come remotely close to doubling over that timeframe.

Except that five year olds are seldom seen in shops buying things with the money they don't earn. So they're not taxed in any way shape or form. Certainly two and three years olds aren't ever seen paying VAT, fuel duty or any other taxes, yet they don't get turned away from hospitals.

I'd ask why you two don't just hop on the phone or go vist and discuss this but I'd be a hypocrite, my wife and I use MSN in the same room.

Surely we can argue (sorry debate) here just as much as anyone else? We do this sort of thing all the time at home (at our parents), with them joining in too. We had quite a little debating society over the years. Nobody ever falls out over this stuff, it's just background fun. In fact I saw Graham on Friday and Saturday and we didn't even talk about this.

Well this weekend we tried to go to an air show. RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo), it's supposed to be the world's largest and most diverse celebration of aviation. It's just about all military planes. This year the F22 was going to be there, the first time out side of the US. We've been about 4 or 5 times in the last few years. This year we were going to take our parents, who have moved into the area.

Keen observers will notice a lot of that was using the word were. That is because it was cancelled due to the weather for the first time in it's 38 year history. It was cancelled once before for some silly reason like, everybody was too busy bombing Iraq. This year it was not actual rain on the day that caused a problem. It was the vast amount of rain in the 72 hours previous to the show. Basically, the car park and show fields where underwater. The correct decision having seen the pictures but still blooming annoying.

We also go to the cinema a lot. When I say a lot we go and see 5 or so films in a day. Our record was 7 on one day, in a normal cinema. We can beat that with a special showing, for example we saw 8 of the trek films in one go, but 7 is our limit for ordinary films.
