*walks in holding a pitchfork and torch* subliminal messages? that's outrageous! If only there was a univeral sign of mob anger.GrahamKennedy wrote:It's easy to do with all the subliminal messages we pack into the graphics and pages here. And the new look forum will be even...Mikey wrote:It's all becoming clear to me now, GK! Indoctrinating us all with your "forum," giving us all military ranks - all of us posters are merely the pawns on your internet-warfare chessboard!
but I've said too much.

Sorry for dropping in only very infrequently, guys. I have a forum to take care of too, and a bunch of other things.
There is no feud whatsoever between DITL and EAS, and there has never been one. Whoever said that must have confused EAS with a certain other place whose name must not be mentioned. If I should ever face the choice to save just other personal website besides my own, it would be DITL.

Aww, thanks Bernd! I love you too man!
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

Perhaps it was the place with the 17 km long Enterprise E?Bernd wrote:Sorry for dropping in only very infrequently, guys. I have a forum to take care of too, and a bunch of other things.

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Re: The Death of Trek Sites
The what?
Anyways I would have thought that the reason for the death of Trek sites was obvious: the last two series blew goats as did INS and NEM, the franchise is burned out and people have moved on. Were there really that many quality ones to began with? I can only think of three and there still up.
Perhaps with the new movie there will be a renewed interest.

Re: The Death of Trek Sites
My fear is the new movie is another pre TOS era one and is doomed to failure or rehashing old shit.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

If you're refering to the 17KM long E-E, then he's referencing a site that I found, and we all mocked, in this thread. The what?
"You've all been selected for this mission because you each have a special skill. Professor Hawking, John Leslie, Phil Neville, the Wu-Tang Clan, Usher, the Sugar Puffs Monster and Daniel Day-Lewis! Welcome to Operation MindFuck!"

It is going to be a TOS re-image from what I've seen and read. Rather like Neo-BSG and we all know how that turned out.
Honestly I expect this film to fail horribly and bury Trek for decades. Paging Levar Burton to the water tower may be required.

The mere fact that it exists.
