Is that a traditional "cut day," or is it just your own personal tradition? :)

Is commiseration or celebration in order?
You could say both. I'm leaving the job because I never intended to be in it for this long, and am working in a field I never had any intention or ambition of remaining in permanently. But I'm edging on 30 and I feel rather bummed that I am not "already on my chosen career path", and in some ways still at the "starting out" part.

So it's good and bad.

I feel that way plenty of times myself, and I'm older than you. I've gotten to the point that I just figure that I do what I do for my family, and if it wasn't what I planned, oh well - I'm lucky enough to be able to provide the "extras" for my daughter.

I finished my finals today and don't think it's worth it to spend 3 hours 10 minutes at school doing nothing. In Alaska, I generally skipped school on the alst day because there wasn't anything to do. I call it somewhat of a personal tradition. Though my younger brother is also not going tomorrow for the same reason.

My English teacher used to see if we're payign attention to the hand outs we were given so she inserted lines from erotic stories randomly through out.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

At my school we're encouraged not to come in the last day once we reach the high school level, unless we're making up an exam. So here, very few people go to school on the official "last day of school." Thanks to that, my last day is Friday! Today I did incredibly well on my English exam (i think) and bombed my Physics exam (i know). tommorrow its AP US History and German...should be interesting.

Thanks--either should do nicely. History shouldn't be too bad, it's kinda my "thing", my major interest (if you couldn't tell by reading my first official thread in the Politics & Current Events Forum :-)). German should be fine too..ironically enough, the foreign language exams always seem to be easier. Anyone else have that?

General Certificate of Secondary education. The basic qualification you leave secondary/high school with. It determines what AS/ A levels you can take.
