I can't wait for summer either - #1) it's buying season, and #2) I live at the beach.Bryan Moore wrote:Brianna (my girlfriend) (no, its not an ego thing dating the female version of my name) just got her tonsils out so I'm down with here for the weekend keeping her company and doing my final exams. Plus I'm taking Monday off, so this'll be a low-key weekend.
All and all, I need the low-key. I'm run down from school and my body is destroyed from the gym over the last two weeks. I'm seriously thinking of taking a week or two off from heavy weights and rocking a few days of various cardio.
Oh, and I can't wait for summer (3 weeks of school left)

Mikey, I think this has been asked before, but how far south in Jersey do you live?
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

Well, the folks around here consider it "central" rather than "south." The most famous part in my little area is Seaside Heights, which is a big tourist draw in the summer. About 20 minutes south of Point Pleasant Beach, and nearly due east of Philadelphia. About 45 minutes north of Atlantic City. My particular town is just inland of the bay from Seaside Park/Heights.Bryan Moore wrote:Mikey, I think this has been asked before, but how far south in Jersey do you live?

Quite nice. I've friends/relatives all over the state. Mostly North/Central Jersey, but still have a great aunt and a couple of cousins down in Toms River. Actually going to be in Paramus in 3 weeks.Mikey wrote:Well, the folks around here consider it "central" rather than "south." Good stuff. I haven't been down that way in quite a while. One of my good friends from school lives there now, does some local pro-wrestling promotions, but I never quite manage to make the 4-5 hour drive.Mikey wrote:Toms River = my town.

Just don't do it on a Friday afternoon in the summer - it'll be more like an 8-hour drive.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I found out this morning my best friend in Missouri, Tim Smith, died from leukemia this morning at around 6:00am. He was diagnosed around 2-3 months ago, but the kind he had was extremely aggressive. He was 30 years old. I wasn't able to physically be there for him, but I was at least able to say goodbye to him over the phone. In our last conversation, he told me he was sending me his mother's china dolls from around the world for our girls and he was sending me his class ring to remember him by. At least his suffering is at an end. I will truely miss him.

Dammit. I'm really sorry, whit. Trust me, the fact that you got to say goodbye at all is a real gift.mwhittington wrote:I found out this morning my best friend in Missouri, Tim Smith, died from leukemia this morning at around 6:00am. Sorry man. At least you were prepared for it. Makes it easier.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Oh my. Well i'm getting my traintrack braces next week. I thought i was gonna be a couple of months yet, but NOOOO they said they'd do it on tuesday.
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Have fun with those. I've needed braces, but never got them. Now I have incurably crooked teeth, other than through major surgery (I don't like surgery).
[edit] You are talking about teeth braces, right?
