Indeed, but I just don't see how your idea has solved Blackstar's problem. He would basically carry on doing what he is now, while he wanted to be doing something 'hands on'. Advising the Captain: as an intelligence officer and (relative to the current fly staff) a mediocre pilot, doesn't seem as active as he wanted particularly considering it would only happen in 'special' circumstances.

Would you just kill Rochey off when it's convinent for you?
Yes. If it came to a point where he no longer added anything to the story, and I could get more involved by creating a new character, I wouldn't have a problem with discarding him.
I don't think it matters at the moment.
Maybe not, I'm just pointing out you're being a fracking hypocrite and pandering to the audience by trying to cast me and Thorin as the unreasonable ones.
You were offered compromises.
You were offered positions.
You rejected them.
You are responsible for where we are now, not us.

The thing is that Blackstar remains outside the chain of command, and still has no function on the ship, which is the whole reason this thing came up in the first place. Shi's basicaly the exact same character in the exact same role. The only difference is that shi now has hir own fighter.

Because that would be correct. If someone started calling me "ma'am", I'd get pretty angry. Then, I'd figure out where they live if they insisted on continuing.

EDIT: Everyone please save the predictable sarcastic response.

Right, I've sent pleas for assistance to the other members of the RPG. Hopefully they can help sort things out, because this is, quite frankly, getting ridiculous.

At no point (that I can remember) in Star Trek has a captain given an order that pertains to tactical that hasn't gone to the tactical officer. I can't ever remember them giving an order (beyond 'go over there')to redshirt #141. If it's a tactical situation it would go to me. I would carry it out.
And please, stop going on about this 'mere lieutenant' crap you spout out, you've clearly got self-assurance problems in that you always feel the need to be a higher rank and have higher clearance and higher authority than the rest...
Actually a shemale is a male who has breasts and acts as a female and is referred to as such. I roleplay as a hermaphrodite who has fully functional male and female parts. But if you're uncomfortable with that then at least refer to me by female pronouns. As a courtesy.
My character will refer to your character in the correct manner. At the moment we are not roleplaying and I will refer to you as you are - which is more than what you've done for me, I should add.

Is that's what's really the problem then? Do you not feel comfortable so long as she does not clearly answer to either you or Thorin? Because otherwise I don't see how this has any bearing.

WHAT?! You've clearly not read any of this.

He has been complaining all along he wanted a more active role. The role you suggested leaves him out of the chain of command and no more active than what he is currently doing. It has solved nothing.

She has expressed satisfaction with the idea. So I'm asking why you two still hate the idea.

I have no problem with it. It's hir who has the problem, and who wanted to be placed in a position in the chain of command.

I think this is the problem, Dusk, you've not been here at the start of this whole thing, so you don't really have much of an idea what started it all.

I don't. I've said that I'm still in command of tactical and I'm fine with the idea. I was responding on the part of Blackstar. The role you suggested is exactly the same as what he is doing now, and what he is doing now he doesn't like!

So much ++post count.

M'Real could also be our astrometric offier. Like Seven was on Voyager. Her intelligence background and our setting would make it ideal. And while a reduction of rank would be useful its not needed. And there'd be no one stepping on anyone else's toes.

Perfect!

Of course, we'll now see Blackstar say that it isn't the type of position shi wanted. As shi did with the half a dozen or so other positions we offered hir.

Pretty sure he's just calling it as he sees it, as am I. I did read the whole thing, and I think both sides were being stubborn.

Why would shi still have nothing to do? If you're going into enemy space, someone could come up with a situation easily enough.

Or make her almost like a Daniels in that capacity where she has certain strategic information about threat deployments and what not, but perhaps doesn't necessarily reveal them all en masse except on a need to know basis. Seven of Nine frequently interjects knowledge she has from the Collective in a similar capacity.

Well, if you have a BETTER idea please suggest it.

I'll stop calling your character a mere lieutenant when you start refering to me by the proper pronouns

Liar. You keep refering to me in the male pronoun.

I can live with that. Not exactly what I wanted but I am willing to comprimise.
