I do NOT want to start an old debate, but I am just curious, how the heck did sword-wielding robot drones fighting Borg come out of a TR-116 debate?!

Depends. Are you admitting you were acting immature?
No, I'm pointing out again that I was telling you we'd already gone over this plenty of times.

Now, for the third time, let's drop it.

Ah... this is where the reference to "TR-116" syndrome comes from - the unstoppable tendency for one of our threads to go mind-bogglingy, non-tangentially off-topic.

It sounds that way.

Have a read

It was a general debate about drones' lack of KE-shields, rather than oBSG Cylon Centurions. The gist of it was that since the TR-116 is a projectile weapon, it should be very effective against Borg drones, due to their lack of KE-shielding.

Well, even if they had KE-shielding(not saying they do, but IF they did) the micro-transporter could beam the bullet inside the drone. That would be cool. 8)

Then you'd lose a bit of impact damage... we'd have to have exploding bullets or dum-dums.

dum-dums
Are you refering to the tiny lollypops?

Those are good, but not too effective in battle. I meant dum-dum bullets - unjacketed lead tips which flatten or mushroom on impact.

Wouldnt the standard shield stop the transport?
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Well, I'm thinking the borg shields are tuned to the specific weapon frequencys, for energy efficiency I guess, so that leaves the other frequencys open for you to transport through. That's my thought at least. If my idea is correct it could be difficult for the Borg to adapt to such a weapon.
