I'm fine for the moment, though if you want to jump in then let me know and I'll write you in.

hmm...I was thinking what we were going to do after we finished milking the Caitian nutcase thing and I was thinking we do the crossover thing with the Pride RPG would be as good a place as any. And I was thinking, what could bring the Pride and the Daystrome together? And then, while babysitting my cousin and watching this new TV show that premiered tonight, Speed Racer: The Next Generation (Gee, I wonder where they got that name from ) and it dawned on me: A space race where the Daystrom happens to be Starfleet's choice for representation.
Here are my reasons:
1) Blackstar couldn't resist a chance to prove hir skills
2) Kortaga(that's the main bad guy from the Pride RPG) might have a business associte participating
3) M'Real is really a good pilot who's underestimating her own abilities and is still the best pilot in that sector.
4) The Daystrom is a frontline ship and is probably the best in the sector.

The Daystrom is a Akira lass and while upgraded is still not in the same league as the Intrepid and other fast ships.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Uh....why would a frontline combat ship investigating numerous acts of piracy in the middle of the territory of a race who are very isolationist and terriatorial be sent to take part in a race? I know Starfleet isn't too smart when it comes to allocating resources, but I think even they'd realise we're a bit preocupied to go galavanting off on some joy-ride.A space race where the Daystrom happens to be Starfleet's choice for representation.
Moreoever, why would this race be taking place anywhere near the Tholian space? That's probably the worst place possible to stage such an event. One wrong turn and every Tholian battleship in range will be shoving torps up your engines.
Sorry, but I just can't see this happening.
I'd say a better idea for a crossover between the two would be when both ships come to the end of their investigations. Think about it. The Daystrom and its crew are hunting down whoever's head of all this piracy going on in the region. The Pride is looking for a powerful crime lord. What if the two crews are both unknowingly after the same target? What if it was Kortaga who's operating the pirate ships out here? In that instance, there'd be a plausable reason for the two ships to run across one another, perhaps at that base we found the Caitians operating out of.
