Eminence Class
I don't like it. Just attaching another pair of nacelles to a Sovereign class, cutting something off the saucer, and modifying the proportions a bit doesn't make a new ship design. Also, the graceful lines of the original design are ruined in much the same fashion as on the "All Good Things" Enterprise. Sorry, but it sucks.
It is well drawn though.

i know my stuff seems a bit high, but like i said you are introducing technology from 30 years in the future so it its going to be bloated compared to the old tech.
plus, each enterprise lasts for an average of 20 years, so we can also assume Starfleet had about 20 more years to improve apon the new tech from voyager, before the enterprise-f would even be commissioned.
Also.... in the timeline where voyager makes it back to earth the long way (and janeway goes back in time blah blah) starfleet develops the ablative armor and transphaisic torpedo launchers ON THEIR OWN. This would imply that starfleet was on the brink of some major technilogical break throughs.
And concidering the threat of the Dominion, the Borg, and ships like the Scimitar, it could make sense that the Federation would put all that new tech into a class of super ships.
But, i will go back through and see if some of the stats could use some more revising.
one more thing... in Endgame, Voyager destroys several borg vessels with 1 transphaisic torpedo each, while taking several barrages and only taking minor damage. Cubes have a strength index of 61,000!! so a ship that can destroy that in one shot should at least be a reasonable fraction of that index
meh

and Bernd, i wanted to keep it similar to the sovereign. but i think the differences are much more obvious in the 3D model. Im still not finished with the bottom yet, but i think it will help the Eminences unique image. The deflector has been redesigned and such.... but i guess you guys dont care till you see it eh

Ditch the second set of nacelles, I'd say. Though for a ship that size, who knows. The only other criticism is that at over 1,000 meters, it looks as much a floating fortress as anything else, and loses some of the sleek lines that Trek strives for in its ships. This is more like "Okay, let's inject some Barry Bonds juice into a Soverign, and problem solved!"

Looks good. The only thing that I'd suggest is that the saucer looks a bit truncated from the side compared with the engineering hull and nacelles. Stretch the saucer out a bit, and maybe turn the secondary nacelles into heavy phasers similar to the Negh'var's and this could be a great ship. Those are pretty minor tweaks though.

What's wrong with the size. If it was a 2380s/2390s ship then maybe, but if we assume it's early 25th century I don't see a problem. The volume ratio of this ship to the Galaxy is probably less than the Galaxy to the Connie.Bryan Moore wrote:Despite the absurd size, I WOULD love to see that flying with a pair of Excelsior Classes and a few Akiras as escorts =)

1233 meters just seems so ridiculously massive. I mean, that's nearly 2x a Galaxy. I just don't see Starfleet continuing with "Bigger is Better", but who knows, what with so many other huge ships in various fleets.
