Good, Bad, Ugly: TOS
I just noticed we didn't have one of these threads for TOS yet.
So, like the other threads, list what you like and dislike about the series, the characters, and the plots via the following format:
Great:
Good:
Average:
Bad:
Terrible:

Great: City on the Edge of Forever, Kirk as the space cowboy/ladies' man, "abbreviated" female uniforms, Nichelle Nichols butt (mmmm hmmmm )
Good: CGI remastering, Spock/McCoy arguements
Fair: Graphics of the time given the budget
Poor: Spock's Brain (can you smell the cheesiness? )
Terrible: Can't think of anything to put in here....Hey, I got promoted! I'm no longer on the bottom of the totem pole! I have seniority! Yeeeaaaa!

Great: The freshness and optimism, born out of the sixties and the Space Race, when every thing seemed possible due to technology and new ways of thinking.
Good: The interplay between the three main characters, and fairly strong characterization generally.
Average: The design of the ships, considering a TV budget and the limitations of the time where remarkable.
Bad: The can do attitude to story writing leads to some episodes that might seem a good idea as a sixties sci-fi short story, but make less sense as part of a long running series set in a realistic view of a possible future, such as the Romans in space episode.
Terrible: Some truly awful episodes, some due to the sixties sensibilities, like the Space Hippy episode (the Way to Eden IIRC)

Right, I suppose it'd make sense if I'd actualy done this myself.
Great: The crew, the optimism, the whole sense of whacky fun and adventure.
Good: The NCC-1701 USS Enterprise. Best ship ever made by Starfleet.
Fair: The graphics. Cheesy as heck now, but they were good back in the day.
Poor: Most of the third series
Terrible: Spock's Brain

Great: The boundary pushing, the commentary, Kirk Spock and McCoy, City on the Edge of Forever, Let This Be Your Last battlefield, the Enterprise herself. the fact that it wasn't some dystopia.
Good: The Trouble with Tribbles, Scotty's obsession with the engines
Average: The graphics.
Bad:
Terrible: Spock's Brain, the Way to Eden... a lot of the third season.

Terrible: TOS. All of it.
Probably why I didnt make one of these for it.
Honestly I'd rather have cancer than watch Kirk and Spock and one of the Ugliest spaceships ever fight men in rubber suits.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
