From what we can tell, the fire migrated from the house to trashcans. The fire on the side of the house was already out by the time I was awake and saw the fire. The fire was starting to die down by the time I put it out. Basically what remained of the trashcans.

We have insurance. Originally my Dad wanted to bring in his guy to do it but Matt, the same guy who isolated the circuit breaker and wiring to the outlet, has never done siding before. He doesn't have the tools either for it. My Dad was figuring it may be cheaper to use him than go through insurance. Or roughly equal and my Dad was more willing to give Matt a job.

Matt is very good and has been responsible for remodeling the three bathrooms, the TV room, the downstairs and upstairs hallway.

Looking at the damage, it looks like it's just replacing the siding that was affected, the door to the garage, a new outlet plus making it on a single circuit. As well as replacing the recycling cans that we are required to use. Plus two regular ones.

It did destroy one of the smokers my Dad has but it was the one he didn't like. Luckily the brand new one was far away to just have the tar that was one it to be just melted on it.

God, i'm so sorry. I'm glad the fire wasn't worse, at least.
