Happy Halloween, everyone!
It's Halloween again. The date is October 31st, or 10/31, or NCC-1031. I'm probably going to be handing out candy in the evening, but it's only 39 degrees Fahrenheit, so I don't think we'll get that much traffic tonight. I didn't have time for pumpkin carving this year, either, so this Halloween might be kind of plain and boring. I hope you all have better Halloweens than I do.
I also hope this quick post revives the forum, which has been more or less half dead since a while ago. So Happy Halloween!

All quiet on the Halloween front here as well. Cold weather and not many trick or treaters this year.

We got egged last night (the building, I'm in a block, and at the back, so my flat was missed). It's raining now though, so that may wash it away.
Given how difficult it was to get hold of eggs around here even a few months ago, it is surprising they could afford to lost them.

My mother's been a bit under the weather, and even though she was feeling better, we passed on handing out candy. Had a few people approach the house, but they left soon enough.

Anyone else in favor of replacing Thanksgiving with Second Halloween?

Only if you believe you can pry the cranberry sauce from my cold dead hands...solid 'NO' vote for more candy corn and ding dong beggars!

You can mix the two by getting a bunch of pop-up thermometers and having a Pinhead turkey

Re: Happy Halloween, everyone!
I read a comment on the YouTube video for 'This is Halloween' that 'Nightmare Before Christmas' is neither a Halloween, nor Christmas movie. It's a Thanksgiving movie, since it falls between the two holidays and is about Jack learning to be thankful for what he has.
