Re: Star Trek: Picard | Season 2 Trailer (Spoilers)
Most recent episode focused on Jean Luc's disturbing childhood..bit over acted but better plot than most of the season so far.

Yes. Character growth is what keeps me interested, so I was able to pay attention to this week's episode. I was kind of dreading that they were taking story cues from Patrick Stewart's own childhood, but that was a bit of a twist at the end of the memory-dream thing. Not sure how I feel about the Romulan lady story.

Is this 'Picard' or 'Girati'? Focus of the show seems to be straying.

I don't like this show. Maybe when I re-watch it, I'll gain an epiphany and enjoy it but, right now I don't feel I need to see the Finale. I really haven't been invested in the show since episode 3.

I'm still watching, but really it is not at all any good.

I was excited about it initally, figuring Q would be featured more. Ye olde bait and switch...bleh!

Re: Star Trek: Picard | Season 2 Trailer (Spoilers)
Same. What's going on with Q is more interesting than a circle-jerk over the Picard ancestry.

It's just not that interesting to me either.
Honestly, knowing that the series will end after the third, maybe they could have done three connected seasons of Picard. Planned out over a theme.
Maybe involving the Romulans and their unification with Vulcan. Finishing what Spock started since he disappeared.
Helping fix Starfleet and the Federation after post Dominion War and Synth destruction of Mars?

Re: Star Trek: Picard | Season 2 Trailer (Spoilers)
The second episode should have been all about the other characters discovering their own experiences in this alternate universe, with the cliffhanger being them finally connecting together only to see Picard parading around in that Nazbol uniform. Then the third episode begins with Q and Picard having their talk.

Finale season 2: nice wrap up of a less than enjoyable season!

Really should not have had yet another evil alternate universe nor going back to our own time. It's old.Nutso wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 4:54 pm The second episode should have been all about the other characters discovering their own experiences in this alternate universe, with the cliffhanger being them finally connecting together only to see Picard parading around in that Nazbol uniform. Maybe it would have been far more interesting if they did make the season about what if Picard wasn't around. Like he stayed in the family business.
That would have been far more interesting I think and still use all of that Picard back story that we really didn't need.

This last episode was good. Good first episode, good last episode. The stuff in the middle is mostly pablum. This season wasn't worth following.

Just seen the finale. On the whole, not a great season, but not a fan of the series in general. But actually enjoyed the finale quite a bit.
