Looks like they still didn't understood why there is backlash and Netflix dont't pay the same amount of money anymore...It would be to try and make sense of that and then contemporize that aesthetic with what audiences demand today and expect.

optimism is waning...

Makes me feel sorry for The Orville, they have to be like 80% different!
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

If the one above is region locked, hopefully this one isn't.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery - Season 2 Trailer
I'm not sorry I'm going to be missing this...
Mind you, I am not inherently against the "This is our interpretation, take it or leave it," it's just that I choose to leave it. It's not quite a completely perfect analogy, I don't see a modernized Trek as a threat to the old canon any more than I see someone covering a piece of music as a disregard to the original, a "modern" interpretation of Shakespeare to be spitting on the original plays, or a big production company making a huge cinematic spectacle with differences than an original novel to be an insult to the novel. That's just in principle, however - I simply have zero interest in watching this whatsoever. While it looks to be interesting eye-candy, and certainly has an epic feel to it, this whole Spock/Pike bullshit is completely unnecessary.

Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?
