So glad that turned out to be nothing too serious, Striker.

Finally on holiday after 6 months.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

That should be a permanent feature.

In other news, by some strange accident of fate, I'm almost all caught up with the times... I've got a car from this decade, I've got the one-day-old latest phone offering from Apple, even got the latest tech to scan my ticker earlier today.

Never worry about being too hip to the latest tech. It seems nowadays that stuff that's due out tomorrow was already obsolete yesterday (particularly in the mobile sector). As a techie myself it's almost a full time job to keep up with the latest offerings.

Well, it wasn't my goal to get the latest piece of tech - it just sort of happened that way. My carrier was offering an upgrade deal on the iPhone SE, which (to my point of view) has the advantage of being as small as the 5/5s... the fact that it has the chipset and capabilities of a 6s was merely icing on the cake. I was considering waiting a bit longer for the Galaxy S7, but I refuse on principle to pay more for a phone than I did for my first car.

I wasn't suggesting it was your goal, merely noting the transience of your high-tech situation. :)

Oh, I know it. Thankfully, I'm not one of those Apple fanatics who will get all butthurt that I have a new SE when the 7 comes out in 6 months.

Well, we are past the date Doc and Marty arrived at in Back to the Future II. So obviously, we are in...

THE FUTURE!
