Yes. it is the point of skydiving, that's why it isn't amazing in the slightest. Skydivers jump out of a plane and land safely every day, it's quite routine. Parachutes doing exactly what they are designed for. Surely with the earliest parachute design dating back to 1470s it no longer amazing that they actually work. As you say it's the entire point of the process.

It it had been titled "Amazing two places crash and we got close up shots of it" then that I could call amazing.
