The problem with alimony isn't the term, it's the actual concept.

In fact, "alimony" is a good word IMHO, as it aligns so closely with "acrimony."

BTW, I will not run for office. The surest way to tell that someone is unfit for public office is by the fact the he wants to attain a public office.
