He's soooo right about shakey cam. Except for claiming that the Bourne films do it well - I stopped watching them after largely because the action scenes were so damn unwatchable. Somebody really needs to sneak onto these sets and bolt the damn cameras to the floor.

Some directors simply think that when you use shakey cam, or the slow floating cam like in some tv shows, it make the audience feel like they are actually there. Fail.

It has the exact opposite effect with me. Whenever it happens my thoughts are along the lines of "Huh, another director who doesn't know how to shoot action. I wonder what's supposed to be happening here?"
