I was just curious, as I'd not really heard it much until 2-3 years ago, now it seems a lot of my acquaintances use it.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:You know... I always did wonder where that term came from.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Well, there's good news: at least in my area, the latest snowstorm to blast across North America seems like it will mostly blow over. Alas, there's also the dose of bad news that often comes paired with good: my seasonal allergies have started to kick in today. Thankfully I started taking a Claritin a day about two weeks ago or else it would surely be much worse right now, though I did have to run out to stock up on the nasal decongestant which has replaced the original Sudafed. It can't be cooked into meth but still dries up overactive sinuses.
However, the bigger health picture is relatively good. The blood results reported by my endocrinologist show healthy cholesterol and an a1c (two-month sugar value) that, while diabetic, is in the range considered healthy for a diabetic patient (6.9 to be precise). I continue to take a statin and of course I'll be dependent on insulin until I bite the dust.

Well, good to hear, CPH.
And yeah, the latest storm looks like it'll miss New Hampshire, thank god!

My work and kids school cancelled. They just can't handle snow around here.
