Yeah, after WoW I have a deep seated hatred of anything "grindy". While Foundry missions were/are awesome and the storyline missions were good the entire endgame is grinding the same few missions repeatedly for tokens to turn in for gear that really only lets you grind those missions a little easier. That and the economy. The game is so old and there's so much money floating loose in it that once you hit level cap the price for even the most basic upgrade goes into the stratosphere. My greatest goal in the game was to get a Galor. The problem is that they were steadily raising in price. I started the game and they were about 90 million a pop. By the time I quit they were 140 million a pop. They were inflating faster than I could stockpile credits.
The game itself is great until you run out of storyline missions and Foundry stuff to do.
When I found myself doing the same few milk runs over and over I moved on. Too many great games out there to waste time grinding.

Anyone still around? Season 8 is apparently out now.

What's the theme?
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I haven't had the chance to check it out since I'm still playing the Romulan zone missions but from what I've gathered, something about the Voth and a Dyson Sphere.

Re: Star Trek Online (F2P)
That sounds epic! I was wondering since the last two were Borg and 8472, which are kind of the top of the pyramid. The only thing left is Q, who you cant really fight.
I finished all the missions and got some good endgame tech, and the rest of the endgame kind of bored me, Borg space and all, so I havent played in a few months, but I may dust it off to have a look.

Season 8 isn't the best, but it is still good. Season 8.5 comes out ina week, and that comes with lots of new quality of life features, the Anniversary Event Featured Episode, and Tim Russ.

The Tim Russ episode science destroyer is an absolute machine. I played it as a Romulan commander and christ that thing mowed down the Voth.
