Turn Back time
If you could go back to any point in histroy, from the formation of the Earth till now, for 5 years. Where would you go. In this scenario you are transported in time and space so you can say a location and time.
The only stuff you can take with you is what you are wearing and the contents of what ever pack you can carry, no pallet worth of goods, just what ever stuff you can physically carry when transported. You could choose to go see the dinosaurs, but then you have to survive somehow for 5 years before you are sent back. The device that sends you is automated to bring you back after 5 years and there is no way to change it.
Also we're going with alternate universes, so you can go back in time and kill your granddad and it wont change your original time line.
You can bring stuff back with you, but again its only what you can carry.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Probably go back to the 80s and start the computer revolution. Come back to being mega wealthy.

Re: Turn Back time
How much money could you really make in 5 years? And how would you get that wealth back with you?
The timeline you go back into does not alter this one.

Re: Turn Back time
You could make a massive amount of money in five years during that time. That's why I picked it - the likes of Microsoft and Apple became huge in a very short period.
As for how much you could bring back, plenty. Stuff your pockets with diamonds and you could probably brings tens of millions back.

Millions of dollars take up space if not sheer weight. But still, bringing back even half a million might be worth it.
I would like to go back to ancient times but realistically that isn't possible. I would need a translation book and lots of modern weapons to defend myself. Ancient times is often romanticized but it is harsh.

I'm thinking North America pre Colombus. The natives were by in large friendly, and very little is actually known about their society before Colombus due to an almost 85% mortality from disease after he arrived.
I wouldnt waste this chance on trying to get rich and maybe failing (I dont think I have the skills to jump start computing science with just myself and a backpack of stuff, also seems kinda boring).
Dinosaure times would be cool, but I dont know how I would survive that long.

Five years with only what I can carry on my back?
Yeah... I'd probably skip it.

3rd Century AD, Bora Bora. It was inhabited in the 4th Century AD. I wouldn't need clothes.

My father died in a car accident the next morning. I was 10. I would make sure that he did not leave for work that morning.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Okay... why?Jim wrote:September 20 1983... I don't need to take anything with me.

Re: Turn Back time
For me, I don't think I would. I simply don't really have the survival skills for it.
