My new tires got shipped to my old address in Virginia Beach as opposed to my current address in NJ. I even changed the address but somehow it got shipped to Virginia.

I got it fixed and hopefully it will be diverted in time.

Oh, damn. Hope it gets fixed ASAP. I sent a birthday present to a friend, and it got shipped to her old address instead of her new one.

Some friends of mine - a director at the Georgia Aquarium and his wife, a cetologist - helped my daughter with a school project immensely while helping found a whale shark research conference off Cancun in the early spring. I mean pictures, videos including ones taped underwater during dives just for my daughter's class, cultural identifiers regarding whale sharks from around the globe, everything. I found a company that sends gift baskets of shark-sculpted cookies in Oregon, ordered the basket, gave the company my billing address and as the shipping address, my friends' address in Georgia.

I received the cookies today. :bangwall:

In other news... after an x-ray, a grueling EMG*, and an MRI, my orthopedist has referred me for a consultation with a specialist in pain management/thoracic and lumbar spinal issues; the orthopedist's opinion is that an epidural will be the preferred treatment, the other possibility being spinal surgery. Of course, an epidural means a big-ass needle and catheter being shoved up inside my spinal column, and also means high doses of corticosteroids... generally considered a HUGE no-no for diabetics.

On the plus side, I was catching up on a back ep of Warehouse 13 and the show ended with an appearance by Cherrie Currie singing. Pretty damned cool if you ask me.

I have been trying now for the past few days. I think I got it fixed but I have to keep an eye on it yo make sure it won't get returned.

Well, hopefully it sticks.

And damn. Mikey. Well, good that your daughter got all that help. And hey, good on you for sending the gift basket, at least.

Still waiting. Moment of truth will be tomorrow.

Car battery died today. No big deal. I was at Walmart anyway. I have been waiting for it to die for awhile now. Just did it at a convenient place.

My car is 5-6 years old now so the car is going though its mid life replacement cycle.

Man modern cars suck, my last car was a 86 Toyota Corrola and that went for years with only minimal maintenance.

Well we are talking about parts on a car that have to replaced. Battery, tires, brake pads etc.

What about oil? You don't have to change the oil, do you?

(The old-timers around here will get it. ;) )
