Was reading some people's thoughts on post-Dominion War projections on Startrek.com, and see a post from someone with a UFP banner as their avatar, ask what UFP stands for...
1) Why do you have a banner that you have no idea what it means?
2) How do you not know what it means after more than 600 posts on a STARTREK forum?

It's sort of like not knowing "the States" or "America" refers to the USA. Perhaps not quite as bad since UFP/Federation is fictitious but there's probably someone (sufficiently educated to count) in the world who meets the criteria to not equate America/States with USA.
