Something with being Jewish and forbidden fruit?

 More like a quirky aversion to raw eggs and pork.

I have three days off, work four and then have nine days off. I'm not sure what to do. 8)

Well, I'll say a good word about Mucinex: this morning I was a mess dealing with the later phases of a cold but one pill has nicely gotten me free of the tissue parade. It works for 12 hours too!

Expecting some decent weather tomorrow. It may be a good excuse to forego the picnic scene, pick up a handful of mossbunkers, head to the bay jetty, and see what bounty the crab gods might provide.

Hmm, maybe a pirate robot too and see which one does it quicker? :P

And cool on the relief. I hate colds.

Well, show me a person who likes colds, and I'll show you a pretty strange person!

So my life has been to hell and back over the last month all thanks to my ex girlfriend. To spare some of the internal details here's a brief rundown of what happened.

This starts with me being so in love and committed to her that I've been saving up for an engagement ring for some time and am actually thinking about going and buying one. She has spent the last two months with our relationship in limbo land and then I also find out she's been lying to me about seeing another guy and potentially cheating on me (I say potentially because she says she didn't do anything, but see earlier references to her lying, and I don't know if I believe her or not). She has left the apartment we lived in together with the understanding that she was no longer welcome here. And to top it off two of my best friends (mutual friends, the four of us used to be very close) knew about her lies the whole time and made no effort to make her be honest or stop, in fact one of them encouraged it.

Any advice on how to fill the hours of boredom after loosing three of the closest people in my life in a matter of days would be helpful.

If anyone wants to hear the longer version of what happened let me know I'll PM it to you.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I think someone on here claimed I was a misogynist at some point (among other things) so here's your sign.

@ Staplic. Situations like this are to complicated to give sweeping advice on.

One thing I can say though is, dont throw away good freindships because they didnt live up to your ideals, just redefine them. You and the girl in question had two mutual male friends, who was closer to who is irrelivant, they were all friends to everyone and you obviously like them and have similar values/humor/hobies whatever.

They did something you didnt like and feel betrayed by... so maybe you need to readjust how you include them in your life, but I wouldnt throw it away. I've been in situations where I have known something I could have told to another but didnt, every situation was is differnt, in mine I just didnt want to have anythign to do with it. Even if they were involved in a negative way... its not nice, but does to out weight all the good?

In the end it is up to you how you choose to deal with everyone, but from similar experiences I;ve had, its better to redefine than throw away. Someone who I previously helpd as a best friend prooved less than trust worthy in someways, so I dont trust him anymore, I still go to movies and bowling with him through, I just dont tell him stuff.

Maybe give it a few weeks for emotions to simmer though. Absorb yourself in something unrelated and totally pointless, write fanfiction or play a game you havent played in ages.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Sorry, Staplic. Not much i can say about it.

My family's having a big yard sale. I'm getting rid of some books I don't read... but I'm keeping Battlefield Earth, if only for the friggin' terrifying invasion and how the Psychlos did it.

I think I'm addicted to Angry Birds Star Wars. :takecover:

Any books about serial killers? Asking for a friend.
