Hmm, so they do have security, but it just doesn't work on knives. Odd.

The problem is that taking a Klingons blade normally ends with someone dying. Which would be a problem on a station that already has enough problems.

Reminds me of that bit in LotR when Aragon and co arrive at Edoras and have to give up their weapons at the door.
