Seems like a nice idea for small cookie cutter type projects like slums and apartments. As stated it could be used most productively on other planets as all that is needed is the crew to built the production unit and then just ship in the supplies. It would allow for the cost of building homes to drop drastically while not at all endangering the local handyman type labor force since upkeep and custom changes would still have to be done by hand.
