Good luck, Reliant.
And a lazy Sunday... except for a couple of towel bars to put up. *Sigh* So easy to do... but so lazy, too.

Did anybody see the total solar eclipse yesterday? It was around 6:20pm Pacific Time when it was complete. We went to a beautiful spot called Bald Rock near Lake Oroville, here in California, to see it. What a picturesque view it was! Some places were selling special glasses that would allow you to see the whole thing without going blind for about $3-4.

Nope - the planet was inconsiderately pointing the wrong way.mwhittington wrote:Did anybody see the total solar eclipse yesterday?

That and I didn't know about it until after it happens. I have only seen it once and that was when I was in Elementary School.Captain Seafort wrote:Nope - the planet was inconsiderately pointing the wrong way.mwhittington wrote:Did anybody see the total solar eclipse yesterday?

I saw it; it was only a partial from where I live, you could just see the outline of the moon on the bottom of the sun.....very cool
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Here in Houston, it blocked about the bottom third before it went below the horizon. Cool to see, for sure.

Missed it, sadly. I learned about it the day it happened, though.

Last time I saw a total eclipse was 1999, we knew about that one for about 20 years before the actual event. It was in a Guinness book of records I had as a kid. Graham and I planned to go and see it and ended up going to France for a few days. We messed up our hotel bookings and ended up sleeping in the car in a Motorway service station. Very cool though. This was the car

You guys must be WAY smaller than you look if the both of you slept in an MR2.
Before I read the whole post and looked closely at the pic, I thought you were going to say something like, "I saw an Eclipse recently - "

It looks like I am moving back to NJ within a couple of months. Turns out my apartment complex doesn't allow Full Time Students because they are afraid of it becoming into a dorm and some sort of IRS tax relief for the apartment that stipulates no full time students.
I can't do part time college because the GI Bill doesn't have a price limit (it's way up there) but a time limit. So 4 credit semester counts as 12 or 20 credit semester. I only got 36 months of free money. I don't want to screw myself.
So I am getting fuck out of this Communistwealth of Virginia. Going back to NJ just don't know yet.
I just started to dumpster dive for boxes.
